Love Works

Love Works is Hope's Ministry of Care and Compassion that serves the local communities in tangible ways: one person, one family, one community at a time.

Super Saturdays are held most second Saturdays of the month where we meet needs of people in our surrounding communities and through nonprofit organizations.

Opportunities to serve through Love Works are highlighted below. To get involved, contact Love Works here.

Super Saturday - November 10th

Special opportunities for kids at our upcoming Super Saturday on November. Use the following link to sign up.

All opportunities are listed on the sign up link, but here are two new ones geared especially for the kids this month:

The World Was Made For You

We are so excited to bring this very special serving opportunity just for KIDS which comes to us through a local non-profit called 'The World Was Made for You". We will be making home library boxes for inner-city Philadelphia students.  Kids will paint and decorate a home-library box, which will then be filled with exciting donated books and given to children without access to books at home. Their goal is to create new literacy opportunities for children in Philadelphia and surrounding communities.

Participants should bring an elementary age appropriate book and/or school supply to donate. Meet us in Hope’s lobby at 10am. We will end around 11 or 11:30. Sign up here.

Music Together! at Manor Care

Everyone's happier when they sing! Come be a part of a fun-filled, family centered activity that won't make you feel like you are serving at all! This event will be lead by a seasoned music therapist and will feature child friendly musical activities with the residents of Manor Care. Let's bless our seniors with smiles, songs and giggles. Bring your kiddos, play some instruments, sing some songs and make new "grandfriends". Meet us at Manor Care (600 W Valley Forge Rd, King of Prussia, PA 19406) at 10:45 am. We will end at 11:45. Ongoing Love Works Ministries

Food Pantry

The food pantry serves our church family, Upper Merion, and surrounding communities. Quarterly food drives are held for the pantry and to distribute the remaining food to other local food pantries. Volunteers can help during the week to organize or distribute food.

Clothing Sharing Room

Free clothing for anyone - the room is located in the Upper Campus lower level. We have clothing, shoes, and other essential accessory items for all ages. Clothing may be donated in the vestibule container.

Cooking Ministry

Meeting monthly on the first Saturday of every month at Hope’s Main Campus kitchen from 9:30-11:00 am to prepare casseroles that will be used at the Laurel House, Forteniter’s Dinner and the Salvation Army 3rd floor residents.

Meal Train

The Meal Train Ministry serves to provide meals for a brief season to families at Hope that may be going through a difficult time of loss or illness. These volunteers are emailed a calendar of opportunities to select a date in which they will provide and deliver a meal to the family being supported.
