Love Works is inviting you to participate in the following ways to support our community during the COVID-19 crisis:
Provide Bagged Lunches for the Homeless in Norristown:
There is a substantial shortage of volunteers and funding from what is usually available to serve the homeless in Norristown. We would like to provide bagged lunches to the Norristown Hospitality center on Mondays and Fridays for the next few weeks. If you'd like to help by making bagged lunches or by contributing monetarily to our efforts, please email us.
Donations for Office of Children & Youth:
The Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth has reached out to us to ask for donations for families in need. We will have a labeled bin out by the front doors of Hope Church (150 E. Beidler Rd, King of Prussia) that you may drop supplies into. Before dropping items off, please wash or sanitize your hands. Supplies being collected:

- Infant and Children's Tylenol
- Non perishable food and/or grocery store gift cards
- Cleaning Sprays
- Dish Soap
- Laundry Detergent
- Body Wash
- Children's Toiletries
- Toiletries for African American Hair/Skin
- Toilet Paper
- Paper Towels
Donate Needed Food Pantry Items:
A big thanks to all who have donated so far! Our greatest needs currently are: condiments (ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard), oatmeal, kid-friendly cereal, snack foods (crackers, cookies, granola bars, snack cakes, etc), small packages of rice, instant potatoes, stuffing mix, canned fruit/applesauce, dish soap, and toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothpaste). You can drop these items off 24/7 in the large donation bin by the front doors at the Hope Church main campus (150 E. Beidler Rd, King of Prussia). Please be sure to sanitize your hands as you are handling food items.
Sew Masks for Medical Professionals:
Love Works is rolling out a new and urgent project to support healthcare workers as they support our community. They need our help as they serve and protect our most vulnerable. Do you sew or have access to a sewing machine? If so, we are asking you to help us make masks that we will be donating to health systems, therapists, and prisons. The recommended pattern can be found here: https://authorizedvacandsew.com/medical-mask-pattern Once completed, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to organize drop off.
Donate N95 Masks:
There is a currently a national shortage of N95 masks, which are desperately needed to keep healthcare workers - serving on the front lines - safe and protected. If you have any to donate, we would love to be able to collect some and share them with those who need them most. Please email email@example.com if you would like to donate.
Check on Elderly or Isolated Neighbors:
Call your elderly or isolated neighbors that may need help. Many times, people are just waiting for someone to ask and they would never want to be an imposition. Check-in and see what you can do to help! We have emergency food bags that can be picked up 24/7 and taken to anyone in need. All items have been highly sanitized.
Decorate Your Driveway or Sidewalk with Chalk!
Grab your trusty sidewalk chalk and write a message of thanks to our trash collectors, postal workers, and UPS/FedEx drivers. Or write a message of encouragement or scripture for your neighbors to see on their daily walks. No sidewalk chalk? Make a cool thank you poster and tape it to your door for them to see!
Make Cards to Send to Nursing Homes:
Huddle around that kitchen table and break out the art supplies because we are collecting cards for our local nursing home! Take a pic and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will print our your art and mail it to our friends that can't have visitors right now. It will surely brighten their day to know someone is thinking of them right now!
Thank and Pray:
Reach out to those who are on the front lines - nurses, doctors, grocery store employees, restaurant workers, etc. - thank them for keeping our country running and for risking their health (and their family's health) for our benefit. Pledge to be in prayer for them.
If you or someone you know needs assistance, please email or call us 610-265-4981.
